The first level of competition will be held at 8 am at the Prince of Peace Community Hall on January 28th. All winners will advance to the District Level Competition to be held on the same day beginning at 1 PM. All winners will advance to the Regional Championships to be held in March, times and dates TBA. The competition is open to boys and girls ages 11-14. There will be a competition at each level and the everyone receives a Certificate. The Winners will also receive Trophies. Please encourage all local area youth to join in this competition. if all of us will just give it a try. If you become more involved you will enjoy it. You will make new friends. You will have a good time while serving your Parish, Family, and Community. We can do more and have more fun if you want to! Encourage new members to join us and encourage yourself to take advantage of this great group we have. n our first year selling Religious Christmas Cards, our Knights of Columbus Council sold over $1200 in cards which translates into 166 boxes. This will be an excellent program in the future for our Council, but more important it will promote our Keep Christ in Christmas message. At the Supreme Council meeting last August and at the October meeting with the Board of Directors, several NEW PROGRAMS of Fraternal Benefits were approved for the members of our Organization. 1. THE MEMBER/SPOUSE FRATERNAL BENEFIT. This provides an Accidential Death Benefit for members in good standing and their wives. If death results prior to age 65, this benefit payable is based on the members years of continuous membership in good standing. NO CHARGE! YEARS OF CONINUOUS MEMBERSHIP BENEFIT Less than 2 years $1,000 2 years, but less than 3 years $1,500 3 years, but less than 4 years $2,000 4 years or more $2,500 The benefit amount will be reduced by $500 on the members 65th birthday and each subsequent birthday, until the benefit amount is stabilized at $1,000. 2. THE FAMILY FRATERNAL BENEFIT. This provides life insurance benefits to children who are physically challenged or mentally retarded.
